Meet Patricia Levitt, one of our newest WAHHI members. She is a speech and language pathologist with a desire to inspire new and fun ways for children to learn in everyday natural settings. Her creative genius led her to design and manufacture unique educational items, including pillow cases with printed challenges for vocabulary, spelling, math, social interaction and stories.
She originally sold these on Amazon, but recently closed her online store and, with her husband Cary, donated the entire inventory of 250 pillowcases to the local Boys and Girls Club, along with 100 new pillows. There are many poor children on this island often sleeping together in the same bed or on the floor. These new pillows and pillowcases will help to promote learning and better sleep.
The couple intend to continue their contributions throughout the year.
