On Monday, July 27th, WAHHI kicked off the Chef Series with our first-ever hybrid event delivered BOTH in-person and ON-LINE via Zoom! Over 20 women attended the event on-site at beautiful Hilton Head Harbor, while another 20 members attend on-line VIA Zoom with our remote broadcast. We heard from Tortuga Tacos owners (Brandon and Michael) who were interviewed by WAHHI member Paula Eagle. The life of the food truck entrepreneur, given the challenges of Opening and operating a restaurant business during COVID, was very interesting! We learned that food trucks have to have the same health and sanitation adherence as brick and mortar restaurants. The tacos were delicious; and Tortuga Taco will honor the WAHHI discount of 2 tacos and a drink for $10 through the year – just say ‘WAHHI’ when you order.
