The First Pickled Pink Round Robin is In the Books!

The inaugural pickleball event is complete, and judging from the responses of the participants, should be repeated! It was a sunny, low breeze day at Indigo Run, and if ever there was a place to observe “women supporting women” this was it! Everyone was gracious, came with great attitudes, was complimentary of each other’s play and focused on the fact they met some new friends and supported this fundraiser! All of this just added to the sparkle of the day—thank you!

Anne Hackling and Megan Dinopolous thought of everything, from adorable gift bags to how to streamline the matches for a relaxing morning of great matches.

A special thank you to Lynn Price, Mary Hastings, Patty Pastor, Nancy Whitley, Gail Sitvarin, Linda Koval and Linda Armstrong; timekeeper Diane St. Clair; raffle gals Sarah Mason and Diane Giaquinto; Indigo Run hostess LeeAnn Wogenstahl; Susan Ortega, who designed the towels; Christie Brooks, who helped with the Match Up app; and Rebecca Brown and her team, who created pickleball bracelets for all the participants. I could not have run this function without your help!

Lastly, and just as importantly, we’d like to thank and encourage your support for our sponsors, who support WAHHI by financially assisting in our philanthropy for charitable causes. All were court sponsors, not only for pickleball but also hole sponsors for the golf tournament. Please thank them when you patronize them, as many of us are already customers!
