By Lisa D’Arienzo, Co-Chair Difference Makers
Difference Makers (DM) made a double-impact on our community in a day! The group combined two collections on March 24th to benefit two worthy causes.
DM Brenda Street is leading an effort to assemble pamper-filled cosmetic bags for the women at Hopeful Horizons Shelter in Beaufort. Members dropped off cosmetics, nail polish, hair accessories and other personal items to volunteers at our parking lot drop-site. Brenda and a group of DM volunteers will assemble the cosmetic bags in early April for delivery to the shelter.
Simultaneously, DM collected gently used formal dresses, shoes, hand bags, and tuxes for Hilton Head High School’s upcoming Prom Pop-up Shop. Our donations will provide students the opportunity to select a full-ensemble for their school prom. Thank you DM Amy Caimano for bringing this community need forward to the group!
Thanks to all of our volunteers, members, and neighbors who generously donated to make a Difference in a Day (times two!)
